Print Failure Tracking#862

I want to be able to colate failed print data so that I can track print issues across our print farm to figure out what issues we are having and why. When clearing the bed, you already offer the “Good Print” / “Bad Print”. You also have the debugging menu, to help debugging the issue. What I would like instead is to have the same menu of failure reasons, but instead of offering advice I want it to get logged. So at a future point our engineering team can pull up the statistics on whats failing, how its failing, which printers, which build plates, which filaments, which files etc.

You can “report a problem” with our maintenance feature - will that help? Otherwise I may not 100% be seeing exactly what “but instead of offering advice I want it to get logged” would look like - please do elaborate :)

My understanding is this: When clearing the bed, one of my technichans can select “Bad Print”. It then comes up with a menu of issues (e.g. Under extrusion) and that will offer advice on how to fix the issue. I do not want to give the technician the advice. I just want the technician to log that the print was bad and why it was bad. Then I want our engineers to able to access a table (stastics) of all of the bad prints, allowing us to colate the data and compare common failure modes. e.g. Is it one printer in particular that is faling more parts than others? Is it a particular spool of material that is causing the issues? Is it that a slicing profile setting that we have wrong. That is what I want to be able to diagnose. I do not believe you have this level of reporting currently (but I am happy to be corrected on that if I have missed an existing feature)
