Add integration to Snorca (Snapmaker Orca)#852
Can you please add this feature similar to what you have in the regular Orca slicer to the Snapmaker Orca slicer so that we don’t have to worry about changing over all our presets and settings to another slicer. Being able to select SimplyPrint from the Print button inside of the slicer is one of the nicer features to have to make everything feel seemless in your workflow. Having to download the G-code for Bambu Studios is enough of a headache and would like SimplyPrint to be better integrated into the more popular slicers if nesseccary (closed loop systems).
They technically should already have/had had it, and if it’s not there they have removed it manually. When they did the fork of Orca, they inherited all of Orca’s code - our integration too - but they must’ve removed it, and continually made sure to not include it in new pulls. We had our integration in ElegooSlicer but they then removed it :/
At the moment, given that Orca is the only slicer out of the four slicers we have made PRs for that have been accepted, I would not say that we could spend time on more, most likely very fruitless, PRs for various other projects. If there’s a community effort that wants to do this, it can be fully community-made. Or if anyone wants to make the effort to ask Snapmaker if they would accept, in due time, such a PR and they could confirm that they would want to work with us on it.
Right now, knowing all of these Orca forks, my hopes for a PR of ours being merged into their project are virtually zero. Otherwise we would love to do it but it also sucks to spend time making it and then they just never accept the code being added to their repository.
Again if any community member wants to give it a try and spend their time on it, they are very welcome to. You can find the code in Orca and we’ll gladly provide the OAuth2 authentication and potentially some development help in our Discord server.
If a lot of people upload this, it may be something we’ll reach out to Snapmaker about but anyone else is welcome to do so as well.

All unmerged and requiring continous updates from our side to remain “merge-ready”, with no pulls in sight. Doesn’t mean it has to be the same for Snorca, but it’s also unlikely it’ll be a priority for them.
