Automatic manual filament-change pauses for Bambu Lab printers without AMS#826

Please add support for automatic manual color changes, similar to Bambu Studio’s filament-change feature. For example, on a Bambu Lab A1 without the Combo/AMS, SimplyPrint could detect color changes in the sliced file, pause at the correct layer, park the print head, and display a message telling the user to unload and manually load the next filament. This would allow multicolor prints without manually adding pause commands for every color change.

That is already natively supported. Manual color changes are simply pausing and we, in our slicer and in files sliced outside SimplyPrint, fully support pausing at a certain layer. We even have a helpdesk article on how you can do that in SimplyPrint. That’s very possible. When the printer pauses you can change the filament then via SimplyPrint. You can resume the print when you’re done. If you use our filament manager, we’ll even detect the changed spool and show that, for example, half of the print was made using one spool and then the other half was made using another so filament tracking still works fully.
