A way to export directly in OnShape into the Simply Print’s Slicer/Files system without having to download to local and the upload again. Much like the exising intergration with Tinkercad. Would be a really compelling use case to use the built in slicer and aviod the whole local computer needing the right slicer profiles and managing source/gcode files.

This, along with a Fusion 360 and Blender integrating, is planned 🙌

Thanks!
As someone who just got the hang of onshape, I second this! 🤩

I’ve been designing a ton of stuff in onshape over the past few years; bumping this request.
WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN? Its been 2 years!

@2030johns43 it’s not actively in the pipeline at the moment. It’s something we wanna do, but not an active priority.
I’ll have to ask you in this suggestion as well to dial it down. Let’s all be respectful of each other here.
Im sorry, friend got ahold of my computer after i finneshed slicing a file an dwas send stuff like hate comments Im so sorry it wont happen again

Please could you think about integrating shapr3D too?

@Hello Shapr3D dosen’t seem possible, they do have “integrations” but they’re all first party integrations without a public SDK or plugin system.

The Blender integration is done, but awaiting approval on the Blender marketplace. At this time we’re not sure if it will be approved, as the Blender extension marketplace’s Terms of Service don’t see kindly to “Third-Party Applications” like ours.
It may be that we in the end will have to offer an alternative setup for the Blender extension, not having it on the official marketplace but a manual download and setup of the extension.
You can follow the ongoing review here: https://extensions.blender.org/approval-queue/simplyprint/#activity

Unfortunately it seems our Blender exntesion will not be accepted - period (more here: https://extensions.blender.org/approval-queue/simplyprint/#activity-16284).
We’ll be exploring self-hosting a Blender repository soon, with written instructions on how to set up.

Fusion and Onshape coming.

Please integrate with freecad.
With a macro og similar?
With the project feature, this would be huge..

Blender integration is live: https://simplyprint.io/integrations/blender
Fusion integration is live: https://simplyprint.io/integrations/fusion
SketchUp integration is live: https://simplyprint.io/integrations/sketchup
FreeCad is on the way, but as import like the others, not anything “Macro-related”. Fusion360 is in review.
